Helpful Hints Before

You Start Building

*Make sure you have arranged to have the lot cleared of trees and brush.

*If your cottage is to be built on an inaccessible lot, special  arrangements have to be made.

*Contact the necessary authorities to obtain your Building Permit and Certificate of Approval before  construction begins.

*Don't forget to contact Ontario Hydro, Bell and the Cable company to check for buried cables.

*Make sure you choose your design options early siding type, shingle color, etc.

* It can be costly to make changes once construction has started.

*Manufactured items such as windows, kitchens, etc. need to be ordered early to avoid delays.

*Are you going to hang anything from the rafters,  ex. motors or other heavy equipment? Let us know before and we can allow for a heavier truss system.

*Will you be burying the plumbing or wiring your own garage? This should be planned before you start.
